PBA Participates in Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)
What is the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)?
The CEP was authorized by Congress as a part of the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. The provision allows Palm Bay Academy to provide breakfast and lunch to ALL enrolled students FREE of charge. It eliminates the burden of collecting household applications to determine eligibility for school meal programs.
Who benefits? Everyone!
Students All enrolled students have access to free nutritious meals, both breakfast and lunch.
Spend Less time in cashier lines and more time to eat nutritious tasty meals.
Parents No household application means less paperwork & no worries about lunch accounts.
School staff Streamlined meal service operation & more time for students to enjoy their food.
Administrators Reduced paperwork and administrative costs, no need to track unpaid meal charges.
Nourished students are ready to learn and grow!
Please Note: If your child will be arriving after 8:00 am, please remember to call the front office and order a lunch for your child. Lunches are ordered for students at 8:15 am for that day. If your child is not present during that time, a lunch will not be automatically ordered for them.
